Solution Extension · Andon

AI detection,
on the floor.

Zira Andon turns every camera detection into a physical signal at the line. The instant a bad pallet is flagged, the light goes red. Operators see what the AI sees — without ever opening a dashboard.

// Drop-in extension for any Zira camera deployment
// Why Andon

Detections that operators
don't have to look up.

AI vision finds the defect in milliseconds. But if that signal lives only inside a dashboard, the operator at the line never sees it. Andon closes the loop. The camera flags a bad pallet — and the light at the workstation goes red, instantly. No dashboard. No ticket. No delay.

It's the same Andon principle that's run lean factory floors for sixty years, now driven by AI instead of a pull cord.

Floor Signal
// What's Included

Everything to light up
a workstation.

The Zira Andon kit ships ready-to-install. Mount the light, plug the bridge into power and network, and pair it with any Zira camera. Live in under an hour.

// 01 — Light

3-Color LED Andon Light

Red / amber / green stack on an articulating bracket. High-output LED visible across the whole bay, with a swivel base that bolts to any column, beam, or workstation upright.

24V DC 3 stack std. Steady or flash IP54
// 02 — Bridge
ZIRA · BRIDGE

Communication Bridge

The brain of the kit. Pairs up to 6 Zira cameras and 1 dry-contact relay board, translating AI detections into precisely-timed contact closures. Powers the light and the relay board off a single feed.

7-device fanout PoE backhaul DIN-rail mount Sub-second latency
// 03 — Relays
8-CHANNEL DRY CONTACT

Dry-Contact Relay Board

Eight isolated relay channels. Standard config uses 3 to drive a 3-color light; the remaining 5 are spare for buzzers, secondary lights, PLC inputs, or escalation chains to multiple stations.

8 channels 3 std. for 3-color Optically isolated Up to 250V AC
+ Included: 24V power supply · DIN-rail mounts · CAT6 patch · cable gland kit · column / beam mounting hardware
// How It Works

Four nodes,
one signal path.

A Zira camera detects a state. The bridge translates the detection into a contact closure on the relay board. The relay board drives the light. End-to-end in under a second.

// 01 Detect

Zira Camera

AI vision detects the event — bad pallet, missing block, PPE absent, etc.

// 02 Translate

Bridge

Routes detections to the right relay channel. Fans out to up to 7 devices.

// 03 Switch

Relay Board

8 dry-contact channels. 3 close to drive R / A / G. 5 spare for buzzers or PLC.

// 04 Signal

Andon Light

Operator sees red / amber / green at the workstation. Decision in real time.

// Use Cases

Any detection,
any color.

Map any Zira detection to any relay. The most common configurations on the floor today:

// Trigger · Quality fail

Bad pallet detected

Camera flags a missing block, broken stringer, or wrong dimension at the inspection point. Light goes red and flashes — operator pulls the unit before it reaches stretch wrap.

// Trigger · Safety condition

PPE missing in zone

Camera detects no hi-vis or no hard hat in a restricted bay. Amber lights up the area until the condition clears — no supervisor escalation needed.

// Trigger · Throughput on pace

Line is hitting target

Camera-counted output is at or above the shift goal. Steady green tells operators the line is on pace — and tells them immediately when it isn't.

// Trigger · Bandsaw dismantler

Hand-in-zone alert

Detection of a hand near the bandsaw envelope drives the relay closed. Red strobe at the station and at the supervisor desk — escalation is physical, not buried in a feed.

// Deployment

Drop it in next to any
Zira camera.

Andon is an extension, not a separate platform. If you already have Zira on the line, the kit pairs in software and ships within a week.

// 01 — Mount

Mount the light

4 bolts to a column, beam, or upright. Articulating bracket aims the light wherever the operator stands.

// 02 — Wire the bridge

One power, one network

Bridge mounts to DIN rail in any panel. Single 24V feed powers the bridge, the relay board, and the light.

// 03 — Pair & live

Pair with the camera

Map detections to relays in the Zira console. The light is signaling within minutes of the bridge coming online.

The dashboard tells you what happened.
The light tells you what to do right now.
